At Swartland Kitchen we are committed to baking traditional products using old fashioned ingredients:
stoneground flour, sourced from local farmers growing crops in an environmentally conscious way, as well as
butter and free-range eggs.
TANNIE’S CHOICE
Swartland Kitchen is Tannie Evita’s
personal favourite brand. She starts her
morning with a cup of rooibos tea and
some Swartland Kitchen Almond &
Orange rusks.
HANDCRAFTED
At Swartland Kitchen, every rusk and cookie is
baked with the same care and tradition as if it came
straight from Tannie’s kitchen. We believe that the
best things take time, which is why we craft our
products in small batches, using time-honoured
methods passed down through generations. Each
batch is mixed, shaped, and baked by hand – no
shortcuts, just the patience and skill that make
every bite a taste of nostalgia.
OUR RUSKS
Our rusks are baked in small batches in our kitchen
in Darling in the Swartland. We use locally sourced
quality ingredients such as stoneground flour, freerange
eggs and real butter to produce our rusks.
The following 400g variations are available:
Almond & Orange Rusks, Sunflower & Sesame
Rusks, Breakfast Rusks, Buttermilk Rusks and
Breakfast Rusks Made With No Sugar. We also
offer these flavour in our 2-pack range for
travellers, lunch boxes and guest houses.
OUR COOKIES
Our cookies are baked in small batches and made
by hand. We have three nostalgic flavours to
choose from: Vlakoekies (150g), Soetkoekies
(200g) and Ginger biscuits (200g).
OUR GRANOLA
Our 750g Granola is the perfect way to start your
day.
FLEUR DE SEL
Use our 200g Fleur de Sel as a finishing salt on
any dish that needs that extra lift just before it
is served: salads, fish, meat, fruit, vegetables and
desserts. It is also a perfect table salt.

The Swartland is famous for its flowing
landscapes with extensive wheat fields which
have for generations fed South Africans. The
wheat flour we use is stoneground, sourced from
local farmers growing crops in an
environmentally conscious way. Want to try our

Kitchen tasting room at Evita se Perron in
Darling and indulge in the country’s first rusktasting
experience, with a choice of hot drink
(tea, coffee or cappuccino), three rusk flavours
